Andre from Madagascar

In November, we had $600 of loans repaid to our Kiva account, so we loaned it back out, this time to Andrew from Madagascar. Andrew is using the money to buy used shoes, belts and handbags for his women’s accessories store.

5th Anniversary Fundraiser

In September 2018, Dads’ Liquid Therapy celebrated our 5th year in existence! We brought in our 6th year in style, bringing in some new dads – and some who haven’t been in a while – by getting social over at Prost Brewing in Ft. Collins. Not only that, we raised over $700! Nice work dads!

Along with some recently repaid loan money, we leant some of those recently raised funds out to two friends (and dads) in the Congo. They used the money to buy 2 cows, 5 goats and a few pig.

Brunel and The Lavi Pa Fasil’s Group.

Thanks everybody that made it out last week for DLT at Jessup Farm Barrell House! I believe we had 20+ Dads and raised over $200. We combined that money this mooning with a Kiva.org loan we receive payment back on this weekend and made a new loan of approximately $700 to some fine gentlemen in Haiti! Well done Dads!

Brunel and The Lavi Pa Fasil’s Group

Brunel is a member of an associated institution where members save cash and get very small credit. With three other members, he wants to find a loan to buy farm supplies for their lands.

This loan will strengthen Brunel’s group as they will make other social activities together such as road works in their community. Borrowing through the partnership of Kiva and Fonkoze is the only economic alternative for people like Brunel. There is no presence of any formal banks in the area where he lives.
