Kaitlin - Development Director, Respite Care

“…THANK YOU to you and everyone with Dad's Liquid Therapy for your donation to Respite Care back in March! We are so appreciative of your support of Respite Care and everything you all do in our community!”

What we do

Dads’ Liquid Therapy is a nonprofit organization comprised of local dads that like to get together, build community, drink beer, and help others out through raising money for local charities and non-profits.

Over $80,000 Loaned

Since our inception in 2012, Dads’ Liquid Therapy has raised over $80,000 through our monthly events. We have then taken that money and loaned out over $80,440 to 259 dads in 53 countries through Kiva.org.

In 2019, we moved towards supporting local charities such as Homeward Alliance, Childsafe, and other area non-profits.

Over $90,000 Donated

Since 2019, we have helped raise over $100,000 for area organizations Homeward Alliance and ChildSafe through our annual December DLT event and our Annual Golf Tournament.

Monthly Events in Ft. Collins

Each month, Dads’ Liquid Therapy hosts a fundraising get together at a brewery, distillery or taproom around the NoCo area. Each establishment usually donates the first drink (micro-brew or moderately priced cocktail/mocktail) to each member. Each dad in turn makes a charitable donation to DLT. The rest of your drinks are pay as you go.

All donations go to Dads’ Liquid Therapy (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) and then we turn around and donate every cent to a local charity or non-profit.

It is a great “excuse” to grab a drink, make new friends, and make the world a better place. Attendees are always encouraged to bike to the location, get rides, hitchhike, or share cabs. And of course, always drink responsibly.

On 21 June 2025, we lost our brother and fellow dad, Josh Benedict, to cancer.

Josh was one of our founding members and was the guy who helped start, organize, and run the annual DLT golf tournament, so it was only appropriate to name it after him.

Our annual golf tournament began in 2019 and has raised over $100,000 for area non-profits Homeward Alliance and ChildSafe.

A foursome includes two golf carts per foursome, lunch for all players, as well as complimentary on-course beer served up by some of our favorite local micro breweries.

A silent auction and raffle take place at the clubhouse throughout the morning with the winners announced during the group lunch.
